Tapestry Collection by Hilton Enters Caribbean with New ROK Hotel Kingston

Kingston, Jamaica, recently welcomed ROK Hotel Kingston, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The 168-room property, owned by PanJam Investment Limited and managed by Highgate, has 47 suites and is the first Tapestry Collection by Hilton in the Caribbean.

The hotel is close to the Norman Manley International Airport, Victoria Pier, Port Royal, the business district and Kingston’s only convention center. Its location also boasts premium views of Kingston Harbour and the Blue Mountain range.

Hyatt Regency San Francisco Announces Multimillion-Dollar Renovation

The 821-room Hyatt Regency San Francisco, one of San Francisco’s premier waterfront hotels in the Embarcadero district, has announced a multimillion-dollar guestroom renovation, expected to be completed September 2022. The hotel will remain open during the renovation process and is continuing to accept leisure, business and group reservations.

The renovation includes a complete transformation of the hotel’s guestrooms and suites. The modernized rooms will have floor-to-ceiling windows with waterfront or city views and a new design with a color palette of neutral cool tones ranging from light grays to navy blues enhanced by natural light to provide a bright and welcoming atmosphere.

“We are thrilled to announce an extensive renovation that will provide a seamless travel experience in the heart of San Francisco’s famous Embarcadero,” said Stuart Evans, director of sales and marketing at Hyatt Regency San Francisco, in a press statement. “The updated guestrooms are designed to highlight our distinctive waterfront location while providing a modern and sophisticated experience with direct access to all of the city’s attractions, entertainment and vibrant culture.”

Each revamped guestroom will feature new beds and platform bed frames with integrated sconces, up-lighting, internal power units and motion-activated nightlights at the bed base. New contemporary furniture in every guestroom includes an 84-inch chaise lounge chair, stone surface desks, wood coffee tables that double as working desks and oversized wall-mounted high-definition televisions. Additional updates include new plush carpet accented by smooth porcelain tile in the entryway and bathroom.

The guestroom bathrooms will offer new spacious showers, refreshing rainfall showerheads, stone countertops and large 44-inch vanity mirrors with internal lighting. Guests can also enjoy updated patio furniture and artwork designed by local artists. Select king rooms will feature ceiling-mounted serenity sliding doors that separate the sleeping areas from the entryways and bathrooms for additional privacy and relaxation. The hotel’s elevators and atrium corridors will be updated with new carpeting, vinyl wall coverings and fresh paint to bring a modern and sophisticated design throughout the property.

New York-New York Hotel & Casino Launches $63 Million Guestroom Remodel

Las Vegas’ New York-New York launched a $63 million room remodel project of its 1,830 rooms and 155 of its suites. The remodel is expected to be finished by the summer of 2023 the accommodations will feature new designs and upgraded in-room amenities.

The remodel features design details inspired by New York City, such as rooms with exposed faux brick walls and accent colors such as Big Apple Red and Taxicab Yellow. Rooms will include modern conveniences such as moveable work surfaces, readily available USB/USB-C power outlets and additional shelving and closet space.

Completion of all guest rooms and Spa, Marquis and Players suites is scheduled for summer 2023 with the first collection of standard and premier rooms available for guest stays in late October 2022.

The room remodel is the next phase of a resort transformation that includes the recently launched Cirque du Soleil show, “Mad Apple” (May 2022); the refurbished and rebranded Big Apple Coaster with new trains for a smoother ride; and the revamped Big Apple Arcade with updated games and the latest RFID technology. More enhancements to the property will be announced in the coming months.
