Small Ship Safaris offers specials on expeditions for families sailing to Alaska, Hawaii, and the Galapagos Islands.

The 8-day Alaskan adventures on the Inner Reaches Western Cove itinerary aboard the 60-guest Wilderness Adventurer visits the Tongass National Forest, Frederick Sound and Stephen’s Passage. The itinerary includes a hike through forest on an old logging trail and a trek up to El Capitan Cave, the largest known cave in Alaska and one of the largest in America. There will also be a visit to a native Tlingit village, kayaking, skiffing or snorkeling, as well as bear and whale watching. The ship offers Kids in Nature Family Departures on July 26 and August 9. Rates start at $2,195.

An 8-day tropical escape to the Hawaiian islands on the 36-guest Safari Explorer via the Hawaiian Seascapes package includes snorkeling, sailing and land excursions, all included in the starting rate of $3,595. Guests visit waterfalls, museums, have an evening pa’ina—a feast—and take in marine and wildlife including coral gardens, sea turtles, dolphins, whales, as well as take part in night snorkeling with Pacific Manta rays in Honomalino Bay. Sailings take place from November to December.

The 8-day Galapagos Expeditions take place year-round with sailings aboard the Eclipse on June 21, July 5, July 19, Aug. 2, Aug. 16 and Nov. 22. The Genovesa Island Cruise itinerary visits Black Turtle Cove, Fernandia Island, Isabela Island and Genovesa Island. A Child Coordinator organizes learning exercises throughout the cruise, teaching children about the species found on the islands. Child menus are also available. Rates start at $5150 pp dbl.
