For the fifth consecutive year, Kinondo Kwetu is offering an exclusive 7-day Yoga Retreat. Kinondo Kwetu, one of the 12 eco-friendly properties in the C&P Portfolio, is located on a private beach south of Diani in Kenya, on a “Kaya,” an area protected by the National Museum. The Yoga House sits on a locally revered holy cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean.
The retreat, which takes place from Nov. 16 through Nov. 23, will be led by Swedish yoga master Johan Dracke. Guests can attend morning and afternoon classes featuring meditation, Pranayama, Yinyofa, Ashtanga and Hatha. Kinondo Kwetu will also offer power yoga, callanetics and Pilates classes. A trainer can even coordinate a callanetics program—which works the whole body focusing on cardio, core, strength and flexibility—for a guest, tailored to their fitness level and length of stay.
Since the theme of the retreat is well-being, a special menu has been created with cuisine designed to detoxify and revitalize. Guests can also relax in the Finnish wood-fired sauna or enjoy massages and beauty treatments.
The retreat is seven nights with rates starting at $3,050 based on one person sharing a dbl or twin bedroom. It includes the daily morning and afternoon yoga classes; meals consisting of 3-course lunches and dinners; a half-day safari trip to National Reserve Shimba Hills; excursions to the Kinondo Kwetu community works in the Kinondo village; canoeing, windsurfing board and snorkeling gear; one PADI-diving pool lesson; tennis court, rackets and balls; limited laundry and wireless Internet.
