In 2014, Crystal Cruises is expanding its themed cruises with six new options ranging from microbrews to gladiators.
The new themes include Extreme Thrill Seekers, heading from Singapore to Cape Town with expert shark divers and deep-sea treasure hunters; Explorations in Elegance (London to Rome), featuring auction house experts sharing information about rare jewels, international real estate and wine; Gladiators & Empires (Venice to Barcelona), which takes guests through Italy’s ruins and museums; Up Close & Magical (Caribbean), which features an expanded version of the cruise line’s exclusive entertainment program, Magic Castle at Sea; Maritime: Past, Present & Future (San Diego to Auckland, New Zealand), which features experts and historians sharing maritime history; and Wine & Food: Microbrews (visiting the East Coast, New England and the Caribbean), a culinary-themed cruise with tastings and food pairings.
The cruise line will offer 23 themed cruises in total as part of its Experiences of Discovery program on board the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. Rates start at $3,470 for the Explorations in Elegance cruise and $7,520 for the Extreme Thrill Seekers cruise.
