Finally, the last stop is Budapest—Hungary’s capital city and certainly, one of the most beautiful and interesting cities on the tour. Our particular tour started off on a somewhat dreary note with a heavy fog and mist that obscured some of the best panoramas in the hills above the city. But by late in the morning, it had all burned and the beautiful vistas returned. Of course no trip to Budapest is complete without spending some time at the city’s famous Buda Castle and its quarter, as well as the Fisherman’s Bastion, high above the beautiful Danube and where visitors find a variety of interesting restaurants, shops and a souvenir “flea market,” where tourists can get some good buys before they head home.
