On March 10, AmaWaterways’ most advanced vessel to date, the 158-passenger AmaStella, sailed her maiden voyage from Amsterdam to Budapest. The luxuriously designed river cruise ship features connecting cabins, a higher percentage of balconies and new room configurations specifically designed with groups and multi-generational travelers in mind. Guests can choose from 12 staterooms that can accommodate up to three family members each, six sets of adjoining cabins that can be connected via an internal doorway, accommodating families of up to five, or four suites with convertible sofa beds that can accommodate families of up to four. Each stateroom comes equipped with AmaWaterways’ Entertainment on Demand system, which includes complimentary Internet access, the latest movies, a music library and more.

In addition, AmaStella’s new room configurations feature more of the cruise line’s signature twin-balcony (French and outside balconies) staterooms. Onboard amenities range from The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant and a sun deck to a heated pool with a swim-up bar and a massage and beauty salon. AmaStella will embark on several of AmaWaterways’ popular itineraries this year, including Tulip Time, The Romantic Danube, Melodies of the Danube and Christmas Markets on the Danube.

Additionally, AmaWaterways has introduced new itineraries in Vietnam and Cambodia this year aboard the 124-passenger AmaDara, including the 15-night Mekong upstream cruise exploring Ho Chi Ming City, Siem Reap, Hanoi and Ha Long Bay; a 10-night Siemp Reap cruise; and a 7-night cruise option.
