Windstar Cruises unveiled plans for its Star Class yachts—a collection of three all suite ships—joining the fleet over the next two years. Star Pride, the first of the three suite ships, debuts on April 17.
Star Pride’s inaugural 6-day voyage and christening ceremony will take place on May 5 sailing from Barcelona to Rome. Star Pride will offer 5-day voyages to Asia and Arabia.
Star Breeze joins the fleet on April 15,2015 and Star Legend on May 4,2015 in Genoa, Italy. Star Breeze sails its maiden voyage from Nice, France, on May 6, 2015, spending the summer season in the Mediterranean. Star Legend will take its inaugural voyage on May 2,2015 sailing from Rome with Northern European itineraries. One of the voyages, Land of the Midnight Sun, departs from Reykjavik, Iceland.
The identical yachts, with a capacity of 212 guests, will receive style changes and stem-to-stem upgrades to align with Windstar’s yacht-style cruising. The Star Class yachts will introduce Windstar’s new Destination Suites, transforming previous Owner Suites into a signature Windstar destination. Suites will highlight cultural decor and local artwork. Destination Suites will eventually be implemented fleet-wide. Windstar’s famous deck barbecue gala, the Open Bridge experience and the Sail Away party will be showcased on board.
