Give Back With Meaningful Trip

written by | Posted on December 12th, 2012

Travelers looking for a way to give back have the opportunity with Meaningful Trip’s treks in Nepal.

Meaningful Trip raises money to support EWN Empowering Women of Nepal initiative and their children’s school, and is one of only two American tour operators to have signed The Code—a code of conduct in the tourism industry to prevent sexual exploitation and trafficking of children. In addition, EWN and its trekking partner, 3 Sisters Trekking, train disadvantaged women of Nepal to be trekking guides.

Travelers can choose from the 12-day Nepal Highlights trip, which features a 5-day trek, or the 17-day Annapurna Sanctuary, which has a 10-day trek, good for more experienced hikers. When not hiking, travelers will have the chance to explore Kathmandu valley and visit the EWN center for an exchange program.

Meaningful Trip offers mixed gender trips and women-only trips with rates starting at $1,895 pp dbl, including accommodations, meals, internal flights and airport transfers.
