Starting May 15, 2015, new regulations will be placed for U.S. tourists obtaining visas to Egypt.
Individual tourists must get visas from the Egyptian Diplomatic Missions before their arrival to Egypt; visas will not be granted upon arrival. However, tourist groups are still allowed to obtain visas to Egypt upon arrival, and these visas must be retrieved for each member of the group by Egyptian Tourist Agencies that have arranged the tourist programs for the groups.
