This fall and beyond, guests staying at Mexico’s Mar del Cabo, part of Velas Resorts, can explore Baja’s hidden natural treasures with a new Waterfalls & Canyons Experience. Led by a certified tour guide, the new micro-adventure to the quaint town of Santiago begins with a guided hike through the picturesque Sierra de La Laguna mountains. Along the way through the protected natural park, travelers can stop to explore canyons, learn about flora and fauna, and swim in a hot spring. Following, travelers can relax in a private log cabin and enjoy a traditional Mexican meal of locally sourced products prepared by a regional food expert. The Waterfalls and Canyons Experience costs $250 per person for up to eight people. A 4-person minimum applies.

The adults-only Mar del Cabo has 46 one- and two-bedroom suites and two penthouses with in-suite kitchenette, terrace with sitting area, separate living area with sofa, bathroom with step-in rain shower, and daily turndown service. Organic cuisine inspired by local Baja dishes and coastal Mediterranean favorites are served in-suite and at the Encanto Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. An oceanfront pool, fire pit, and lobby bar gym complete the list of amenities at the EP hotel.
