Looking ahead to future bookings, set your sights on the Maldives, where the Fari Islands, anchored by three resorts, and a marina, will debut in late 2020.
Located in the North Male Atoll, 50 minutes by speedboat from Male International Airport, the Fari Islands will be home to luxury hotel operators Capella Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, and Patina Hotels & Resorts, a new brand that’s part of the Capella Hotel Group portfolio.
Built around a Beach Club, Fari Marina will feature charming boutiques and a selection of handpicked, upscale food and beverage options, and guests can also expect a cultural landscape, as the Fari Islands will pursue creative collaborations with renowned names in art, music, culinary arts, photography, fashion and design.
Meanwhile, Capella’s new Patina Hotels & Resorts brand was created for “progressive travelers of a new generation.” Patina Maldives, Fari Islands will be the first launch, with properties in Ubud, Bali and Sanya, China, also in development.
Set to open in late 2020, Patina Maldives will offers 90 beach and water villas, ranging from one to three bedrooms; accompanying the villas, the resort also offers 20 Fari Studios.
“Focusing on creating a seamless experience, the brand is refreshing, dynamic and modern, appealing to the blended lifestyle of today’s curious and conscious consumer,” said Nicholas Clayton, CEO of Capella Hotel Group, in a press release statement.
