After having to close their doors right after their grand opening, Kimpton Key West has re-opened its doors to two hotels in its five-hotel collection—Winslow’s Bungalows and Lighthouse Hotel, which are located across Key West’s historic Old Town. The Kimpton Key West collection officially opened these properties in March before a mandatory, but temporary, closing for the COVID-19 pandemic. These two historic properties have now resumed hosting guests, and the collection will open the remaining three hotels later this year.
The collection’s largest property, Winslow’s Bungalows, features 85 guestrooms, across a lush, landscaped campus in the center of Key West just two blocks off Duval Street on Truman Avenue. The boutique hotel, which takes the name of the famous painter and Key West summer resident Winslow Homer, boasts three private pools, an outdoor bar and gardens. Lighthouse Hotel, a historic property adjacent to both the iconic Key West Lighthouse and the Ernest Hemingway House, features a collection of mid-1800s buildings set amongst brick garden grounds and contains a pool with a pool-side bar.

The final three properties of the Kimpton Key West collection, Ridley House,Ella’s Cottages and Fitch Lodge, are slated to open later this year. Fitch Lodge will be the next to open and is an out-of-the-way oasis ideal for adventurers looking to take advantage of Key West’s incredible access to water activities. Ella’s Cottages will provide a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by refreshing greenery, best for group and extended stays, while Ridley House is the collection’s highest-end property with 23 rooms spread across Victorian houses that date back to the 19th century.
Upon arrival to each of the hotels within Kimpton Key West, guests check in at reception and receive a welcome cocktail as part of the property’s arrival. Every hotel features its own pool, chic hammocks and communal gathering spots where daily breakfast is hosted, and guests can socialize in style and with proper physical distancing. Other beloved Kimpton amenities such as complimentary first-come first-serve bikes, in-room yoga mats and a liberal pet-friendly policy round out the stay experience.
Kimpton Key West is offering a 15 percent savings on reservations in celebration of its grand opening. The Book Early + Save offer must be booked 30 days in advance for stays of three nights and more. Further, road trippers will want to take advantage of the Park and Play package, which allows guests to save on self-parking.
