Web Editor/Social Media Coordinator
Jessica may have been born in New York, but a nomadic spirit kept her moving around the country and the globe before settling in south Florida in 2015 and joining Recommend’s editorial team two years later. Jessica studied at the University of Florida where she received her degree in Linguistics with a focus on Spanish and Teaching English as a Second Language. After graduation, Jessica took her passion for travel and languages to Spain, where she lived for two years working as an English teacher and exploring Europe whenever possible. She documented her adventures (and mishaps) in a blog—She Dreams of Travel—which eventually prompted her to pursue her first true love: writing. Upon her return to the U.S., Jessica continued to blog and dabble in social media management and freelance writing/editing before taking a job at the University of Miami as an Assistant Director in the Study Abroad office. While Jessica loved helping students realize their own travel dreams, she jumped at the opportunity to work at Recommend. It was a perfect fit for her.
Jessica now combines all these experiences in her work as Recommend’s Web Editor/Social Media Coordinator. She’s excited to travel the world and report back to the loyal agents who read Recommend’s website and print magazine.
