We are sure you’ve heard the buzz about the new Thompson Playa del Carmen, which opened its main hotel this past November and is set to debut the Beach House later this year. The main hotel, with just 92 guestrooms, is located on La Quinta Avenida, Playa’s 2-mile, pedestrian-only thoroughfare brimming with shopping and dining options. It’ll add another 27 rooms and suites to the Playa del Carmen hotel scene—each with its own terrace because the Thompson folks wouldn’t want your clients missing out on panoramic views of the white sands and turquoise-hued Caribbean Sea. There’ll also be a beachfront pool, and a casual restaurant and bar.
