The Pelican Grand Beach Resort is a little unusual among Fort Lauderdale hotels as it not only lies a little to the north of where Las Olas meets the ocean and the iconic Elbo Room was spring break central in a bygone era, but handily it sits directly on the beachside rather than across busy A1A.
