Fess Parker adult summer camp
Horseback riding in the vineyards is one of several activities adult summer campers can enjoy at Fess Parker.

The Fess Parker estate located in Santa Barbara wine country is inviting adults of all ages to relive their childhoods with the debut of its Explore Fess Parker adult summer camp program.

Fess Parker, which includes a winery and vineyard, a 715-acre home ranch, The Bear and Star restaurant, and the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn & Spa, will cater to couples and small groups looking to learn and explore as they participate in a wide variety of elevated “camp” activities from guided horseback riding and hot air balloon rides to learning the art of campfire cooking. These customizable retreats will feature several other outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling tours, as well as a helicopter coastal experience. Other possible activities include painting in the vineyard, wine tours and tastings, a Santa Ynez museum and gallery tour, chef-led campfire cooking and foraging classes, and more. For additional rest and relaxation guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool or treat themselves to yoga in the garden, a tour of the botanical gardens, or a spa treatment.

When it comes time to enjoy a meal, guests can make their way to The Bear and Star restaurant where chef John Cox has created a special “campfire menu” of elevated dishes, which are available picnic style or in-restaurant. Rooted in sustainability, The Bear and Star features an array of hyper-local ingredients including Wagyu cattle, heirloom fruits, and organic vegetables grown mere miles away. In addition, all campers will also be treated to a care package of treats including sea smoked almonds, pickled farm vegetables, Fess Parker Ranch beef jerky, and a S’mores Kit with homemade acorn graham crackers and dark chocolate ganache.

During their stay, guests can choose to stay at the 19-guestroom Fess Parker Wine Country Inn & Spa, featuring guestrooms with fireplaces, or the rustic Wine Country Cabins, both minutes away from the Fess Parker Winery & Vineyard and home ranch.
