Flo Tours’ new 10-day Classical Egypt Tour, with departures starting February 2016, explores colorful Egyptian bazaars, the Great Pyramids of Giza and ancient sites along the Nile River. The tour begins as soon as guests arrive in Cairo with an optional sound and light show detailing the historical contributions of Thutmosis IV, Akhnaten, Nefertiti and Tutankhamon from the perspective of the Great Sphinx of Giza. At the Giza Plateau, guests tour the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. After a luxury Nile River cruise, guests visit Luxor to witness the Karnak Temple (“The Most Select (or Sacred) of Places”)—and the Temple of Luxor—the setting for the most important festival in Thebes, the Opet Festival. On the final day of the itinerary back in Cairo, guests view more than 1,700 items found in King Tutankhamen’s tomb, before going on a walking tour of the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar—the largest traditional shopping bazaar in the world.

Rates start at $1,895 pp; $2,295 pp with airfare from JFK, and include domestic flights within Egypt, a 4-night stay at the Conrad Cairo, and a 4-night stay on the MS Swiss Inn Radamis II, plus 8 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 4 dinners, an English-speaking tour guide, and sightseeing excursions listed in the itinerary. Guests who book before Dec. 31, 2015 receive a $400 pp discount and a complimentary shore excursion during the tour’s Nile River cruise.
