Avanti Destinations has introduced two food-focused vacations and nine add-on gastronomic experiences that agents can use to customize other FIT itineraries throughout Latin America.

Examples of the newly added itineraries catered to foodie travelers include the Culture and Culinary Peru trip and the Culinary Highlights of South America air-inclusive food and wine package. The 8-day Culture and Culinary Peru journey takes clients to Lima, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cuzco. Highlights include a Flavors of Lima tour that features a market visit and cooking demo; and a visit Cuzco, where they’ll indulge in a wine and cheese tasting, a walking tour and cooking class with lunch, and a chocolate-making class. The new 12-day Culinary Highlights of South America package provides gastronomic adventures in Peru, Chile and Argentina, including an “oenologist for a day” vineyard tour in Mendoza, where guests will have lunch and make their own wine. Add-on experiences include the private La Paz culinary tour with lunch in La Paz, Bolivia; the private Brazilian chocolate and ice cream tasting tour in Rio de Janeiro; and the Chilean haute cuisine workshop and dinner in Santiago.

Avanti Destinations has also launched a new agent incentive for this summer. Agents can earn an additional $100 bonus commission for each booking of at least $2,500 made now through Aug. 31, 2018 for travel anywhere in Central and South America, Europe and Asia between Oct. 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019.
