Anguilla has welcomed back one of its most iconic resorts, Malliouhana, Auberge Resorts Collection, after the property underwent nearly a year of restorations and enhancements following Hurricane Irma.

“Malliouhana has long been a beloved and unrivaled destination experience in the Caribbean,” said Craig Reid, CEO, Auberge Resorts Collection, in press materials. “In partnership with new ownership, Bixby Bridge Capital, LLC, we have poured our heart and soul into restoring the resort guests have come to know and love, while taking the opportunity to add new amenities and experiences that really elevate and complement this special corner of paradise.”

Whether your clients are first timers at the resort or return visitors, they can expect to find a 2-tiered infinity edge pool with new cabanas, a brand-new bar at the resort’s main restaurant, Cafe Celeste, and 46 oceanfront guestrooms and suites inspired by trendy Caribbean residences. The popular gathering spot formerly known as the Sunset Bar has also transformed into Bar Soleil with vaulted ceilings, long Turkish banquettes and candle-lit birdcages placed throughout, plus a menu featuring Mediterranean-infused island fare. Also, debuting in early 2019, the Malliouhana experience will be further enhanced with brand-new amenities and offerings including a 2-bedroom beachfront villa on Turtle Beach, a beach shack serving locally inspired snacks, full meals, cocktails and more, plus 11 new beachfront suites and an expanded Auberge Spa that will debut six new treatment rooms and a pool overlooking the ocean.

Reopened on Dec. 15, 2018, nightly rates at Malliouhana start at $795. For more information, visit aubergeresorts.com/malliouhana, and to read about the latest Caribbean hospitality trends that matter, click here.
