For those moments when a camera isn’t enough to capture what the eye sees, a local artist accompanies the guest during a walking or driving safari to sketch on location. In the middle of the African bush with 360-degree views of the Northern Frontier, guests can choose watercolors or charcoal pencils to let their inspiration flow onto the easel. The artist is there for instruction and advice during the safari. Popular spots for travelers to let their inner artist come out include the winding Ewaso Nyiro, a river lined with Fever Trees, and sand or the top of Penny’s rock for views of expansive landscapes with mountains on the horizon.
