ID Travel Group, overseeing Island Destinations and IDx, has announced an expansion in Asia and the Pacific with seven new properties added to its portfolio, making its mark in Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore.
Island Destinations has had its hand in the Asia/Pacific region for some time, with eight properties available for luxury Balinese vacations. But, after realizing the opportunity available for the area, the company has nearly doubled the amount of properties offered in the area, raising its offerings to 15 hotels, all of which offer a truly luxurious environment artfully fusing Asia and western cultural influences.
“Our clients look to us for the ‘Ultimate Vacation Experiences’ across warm weather destinations and rely on our expertise to recommend emerging and exciting new destinations,” says Venicia Gaul, director of marketing at ID Travel Group. “Recognizing the dynamic growth in the region’s offering of luxury hotels, we expanded our Asia Collection with a selection of luxurious hotels and resorts that present clients with many unique amenities and experiences such as a vibrant culture, gourmet cuisine, pristine beaches and intuitive service.”
What’s on the MenuIn Singapore, for example, the company offers the iconoclastic Raffles Hotel Singapore—where the world-famous Singapore sling cocktail originated—as well as the exquisite Capella Singapore, which is located on the island of Sentosa and is home to 112 rooms, suites, manors and villas. Heightening the experience is the Auriga Spa, offering a unique rejuvenation and relaxation experience complete with treatments that incorporate celestial rhythms as well as draw inspiration from the Malay and Chinese heritage. Book your clients on Island Destinations’ Experience Capella package, starting at $2,440 dbl for travel through Dec. 23. Included in the package are 4-night accommodations in a Premier Sea View room, full daily breakfast for two at The Knolls restaurant, and $50 food and beverage credit. Standard nightly rates start at $610 dbl in a Premier Sea View room.
In exotic Thailand, the company offers none other than the original AMAN resort—Amanpuri, sitting above the private crescent-shaped Pansea Beach. In addition to an utterly tranquil setting, resort guests can take advantage of the hotel’s own fleet of ships—Amancruises—which take guests on excursions and sunset cruises. The Experience Thailand with Spa Treatment + Half Board package includes 4-night accommodations in a Pavillion room, 1-hour massage for two, daily American breakfast, roundtrip airport transfers and choice of lunch or dinner for two. Package rates start at $3,500 and must be booked by Oct. 31, for travel between May 1-Oct. 31. Standard nightly rates start at $875 dbl in a Pavilion room.
Another Thai resort on Island Destinations’ exclusive list of resort goodies is Trisara Resort—in Sanskrit it means “Third Garden in Heaven” (that in itself paints a pretty good picture of what guests can expect). Unique to Trisara are a collection of villas situated above a private bay on Phuket’s northwestern coastline, each with a private plunge pool and panoramic views of the Andaman Sea. For spa aficionados, recommend the signature 6-hand Trisara Royal massage, where three therapists work in harmony to revitalize the body.
Packages at Trisara include the Luxurious Phuket with Spa Treatment, featuring 3-night accommodations in an Oceanview Pool room, one 90-minute Sukothai massage or Trisara oil massage at Trisara Spa, daily breakfast for two, complimentary WiFi and roundtrip airport transfers. Package rates start at $2,085 and must be booked by Oct. 31 for travel between May 1-Oct. 31. Standard nightly rates start at $695 dbl in an Oceanview Pool room.
The Nam Hai, situated on China Beach in Vietnam offers up rooms with a view as villas look out over the South China Sea and Cham Island. Its on-property eatery, The Restaurant, boasts the largest wine cellar in Vietnam, and the resort’s nearby location to the ancient city of Hoi An allows the opportunity to experience Vietnam’s interesting culture.
Standard nightly rates at The Nam Hai start at $661 dbl in a One Bedroom Villa, but to entice travelers to come rest their weary heads, Island Destinations is offering a Stay 7, Pay 6 package, including 7-night accommodations in a One Bedroom Villa for the price of six, daily buffet breakfast for two with unlimited champagne at The Restaurant, complimentary shuttle to Hoi An, and complimentary WiFi. Package rate start at $3,962 for travel through Dec. 19. Blackout dates are April 1-14 and Dec. 20-31.
In addition to the eight Bali properties already in the Island Destinations portfolio, two more—the Alila Villas Soori, starting at $728 dbl in a Beach Pool Villa, and the Alila Bali Uluwatu, starting at $930 dbl in a One Bedroom Pool Villa—have been added in Bali for the 2012 year.
Out and AboutAfter your clients have fully explored the expanses of their guestrooms and on-property resort features, allow Island Destinations’ Ultimate Concierge team to arrange any experiences they may get a whim for. And this willingness to go above and beyond extends to each of the properties under the Island Destinations umbrella.
“The foundation of the Island Destinations’ corporate culture is ‘high touch service,’” Gaul says. “All hotels and resorts selected to be part of our collection blend perfectly within this environment, as they offer ultimate service to each and every guest.”
In addition to the variety of client-oriented services they provide, such as exclusive access to premium space at renowned hotels and resorts; exclusive amenities including themed dinners and guaranteed upgrades, plus personalized travel documentation in leather folios, Gaul adds that they dedicate their time to helping agents as well. “Island Destinations is dedicated exclusively to servicing travel professionals,” she says. “We offer our exclusive SPF 24/7 Cancel for Any Reason Protection Plan, which also protects travel agents commission after full payment and includes complimentary enhanced post-departure insurance in every booking, an outstanding value in our industry.”
