Seabourn Cruise Line is heading to Australasia for the 2018-2019 season with the Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Sojourn sailing around Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.

On these journeys guests will get to export the region through optional, for-charge Ventures by Seabourn kayak and Zodiac tours in select destinations. In addition, special programming such as the Shopping with the Chef excursions will be offered, which allow guests to discover local food markets, as well as special deck events, dance parties, and Movies Under the Stars. Each itinerary will also offer shore excursions that explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites with enhanced content available only to Seabourn guests via the cruse line’s partnership with UNESCO.

Seabourn Encore Sailings
The 2018-2019 season of the Seabourn Encore in the South Pacific will launch with an 18-day cruise from Bali to Sydney departing on Dec. 3, 2018. Four 16-day sailings between Sydney and Auckland will also be available departing on Dec. 21, 2018, Jan. 22, Feb. 7, and March 11, 2019. At the start of Spring, the ship will head from Sydney to Bali on a 16-day voyage departing on March 27, 2019 that will feature the Queensland Coast and the Great Barrier Reef, plus various islands of Indonesia.

Two new itineraries that will be offered are the 16-day New Zealand’s Splendors, departing on Jan 6 and Feb. 23, 2019, aboard the Seabourn Encore. This sailing will sail along the coasts of New Zealand roundtrip from Auckland. Ports of call will include Russell on the scenic Bay of Islands, Milford Sound and the Fiorlands National —a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Oban on Halfmoon Bay, Port Chalmers in Dunedin, and Akaroa in Christchurch. Guests will also visit Kaikoura, Nelson, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and Tauranga (Rotorua), as well as Kingston, Norfolk Island, and Australia.

Guests of the Seabourn Encore will also have the opportunity to take part in an optional 3-day mid-cruse overland tour from Milford Sound to Queenstown. This option is available on voyages departing on Jan. 6, Feb. 7, and Feb. 23, 2019. The tours will include journeys into the UNESCO World Heritage Site Fiordland National Park, the gold mining destination of Arrowtown, and a jet boat excursion on the Shooter River.

Journeys Aboard the Seabourn Sojourn
The Seabourn Sojourn will offer Extended Explorations such as the 22-day Landfalls of Captain Cook itinerary, departing on Nov. 18, 2018, from Auckland to Sydney. On this sailing guests will explore New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Papau New Guinea, and Queensland, plus the Great Barrier Reef. On the 36-day Holiday Australia Exploration, departing on Dec. 11, 2018, guests will get to celebrate the holidays while sailing throughout South Australia, West Australia, and the Northern Territory, as well as East Timor, Komodo Island, Bali, and Java in Indonesia. On this journey guests will also stop in the Kimberley, which features red-hued cliffs, swimming holes, and waterfalls. This itinerary is also available on two segment with a 16-day voyage departing from Sydney on Dec. 11 and a 20-day sailing departing from Perth on Dec. 27.

Seabourn will also offer the 8-day pre-cruse UNESCO Sydney, The Red Centre, Gred Barrier Reef Seabourn Journey, or the 7-day post-cruse land extension that embarks or disembarks in Sydney. The trip will go from Sydney to the Red Centre and explore Australia’s Tropical North including the UNESCO-cited Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Departures for the pre-cruise trip are Dec. 5 and Dec. 15, 2018 and Feb. 1, 2019. Dates for the post-cruise journey are Dec. 11 and Dec. 21, 2018, plus Feb. 7 and March 27, 2019.
