The resort offers family-friendly guestrooms with bunk beds.

With hundreds of hotels to choose from in Orlando—there are currently approximately 450 hotels with more than 116,000 rooms in the area—how can you decide which hotel is right for your clients?

Last fall, I was invited to experience the B Resort & Spa, a Downtown Disney resort, and this chic and modern resort is definitely a contender. Take these perks, for example: The resort is located walking distance from Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs); offers complimentary shuttle service to all Walt Disney World theme parks; and according to the resort’s general manager Keith Wolling, the resort caters to guests of all ages.

“We offer kid-friendly accommodations with bunk beds, an interactive Kid’s Zone, and a sleek zero-entry pool complete with interactive water features,” Wolling points out. “For teens and adults, our full-service spa, B Indulged AVEDA, offers a dedicated spa teen menu, allowing for a peaceful oasis after a day of touring Orlando’s celebrated theme parks and attractions. A favorite spot amongst all ages, our restaurant American Q offers an innovative BBQ dining experience complete with a selfie station in the driver’s seat of an authentic 1951 Ford pick-up [truck], which guests can use to capture the moment and post it directly to their social media handles.”

Location. B Resort & Spa is within walking distance (about five minutes) from soon-to-be Disney Springs, which is undergoing a large expansion to include a new waterfront district for shopping, dining and entertainment. Resort guests can also take a shuttle to Disney Springs, as well as to other Disney parks—the resort is about 15 minutes from Magic Kingdom and five minutes from Epcot.

Accommodations. B Resort & Spa features 394 guestrooms and suites in eye-pleasing blue and white decor. Guestrooms boast the B Hotels & Resorts signature Blissful Bed, a 47-inch flat-screen TV, a B Treated Box with sweets and snacks available for $5 each, and complimentary WiFi. The resort also offers 20 family-friendly guestrooms with bunk beds, and guests can pamper themselves with the in-room AVEDA bathroom products.

Amenities & Cuisine. The aforementioned cherry-red 1951 Ford pick-up truck demands attention inside American Q restaurant. The truck’s flatbed is a salad/appetizer buffet and a great complement to the succulent selection of BBQ meat and poultry carved table-side by the restaurant’s servers. A kids menu and an a la carte menu are also available, and the restaurant’s bar serves local craft beers. B Resort & Spa also offers guests a poolside bar and grill, as well as The Pickup serving coffee, pastries, ice cream, and picnic boxes for families.

The Spa. The 3,000-sq.-ft. B Indulged AVEDA spa offers a selection of massages and treatments for adults (and teens) in three treatment rooms, including a couple’s room. The 80-minute B Indulged Signature Massage is a pure delight using Swedish techniques with a relaxing peppermint aromatherapy inhalation treatment.

Fun Features. Art lovers will appreciate the resort’s B Artistic program, which promotes artwork by local artists throughout the property. All the art pieces are for sale, and one lucky artist is given access to a studio space at the resort for up to one year.

Value season rates start at $119 per night for a 7-night stay
or $143 per night for a 4-night stay.
