This week, Princess Cruises’ Caribbean Princess will debut seven new dining options following its 2-week multi-million-dollar renovation. Among Caribbean Princess’ new onboard dining destinations is the World Fresh Marketplace, which will replace Horizon Court on deck 14. During breakfast, the venue will offer cereal stations, and a pancake station, plus hot meals such as shrimp and grits, and polenta porridge. At lunch, World Fresh Marketplace serves up hand-crafted sandwiches, regionally inspired dishes and soups, as well as selections of specialty sausages, hams and roast meats; dinnertime offerings include “breakfast at night” items—think omelets and chicken and waffles—stir fry, comfort foods, customized pastas, and a kid-friendly PB&J bar.

Caribbean Princess' new Planks BBQ restaurant will offer family-style "planks" of loaded ribs, beef, sausages and chicken.

On deck 14 aft, Cafe Caribe is being transformed into two new casual evening specialty restaurants that are ideal for families with kids—Planks BBQ, offering family-style “planks” of loaded ribs, beef, sausages and chicken, plus Southern inspired sides; and Steamers Seafood, offering East Coast-style steamers, including black-and-blue mussels, scallops and sausage, classic clams, shrimp and sausage and broiled scallops, shrimp and crab-stuffed flounder. Both restaurants charge $12 pp during dinner, which is served by wait staff. Both restaurants also offer complimentary buffet-style breakfast and lunch options. In addition, four top-deck outdoor dining offerings will be revitalized, renamed and enhanced, including The Salty Dog Grill (formerly Trident Grill); Slice (formerly Pizzeria); Coffee & Cones (formerly Scoops); and The Mix poolside bar (formerly Blackbeard’s Bar).

The Caribbean Princess’ renovations also include new family-friendly offerings such as upgraded Movies Under the Stars and interconnecting staterooms. The cruise ship will also be wired for the Ocean Medallion launch, which will be available for the 2018 summer Caribbean season.
