The Gansevoort Opens in the Dominican Republic

The luxury hotel brand, Gansevoort, is opening its second property in the Dominican Republic on Dec. 15, Gansevoort Playa Imbert.

The property will feature 48 suites; 3-bedroom apartments with private plunge pools and spacious terraces; and 4-bedroom penthouses, each with a private rooftop jacuzzi. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer seascape views from every guestroom. The resort amenities include a 3-tiered cascading infinity pool, an adults-only pool (opening spring 2015), and dining at Baia Lounge, and the Wine + Cigar Cellar. The resort also plans on adding a fitness center, a spa with a hammam-style sauna, and a meditation and yoga garden. Gansevoort Playa Imbert is located about 15 minutes from Gregorio Luperon International Airport (also known as the Puerto Plata airport) and a short drive to activities such as surfing, kiteboarding, golf, tennis, horseback riding, and more. Rates range from $595 to $5,000 per night, and include breakfast for two and roundtrip transfers to and from Gregorio Luperon International Airport.
