Grenada is a perfect spot for those who enjoy the great outdoors, said Patricia Maher, CEO for the Grenada Tourism Authority, during a quick interview Recommend conducted with her at Seatrade.

She pointed to the great adventure experience at the Seven Sisters Waterfalls, located inside Grand Etang National Park, a short drive from the cruise ship dock in the city of St. Georges. There, she said, “you can immerse yourself in nature.” There you can hike up the waterfalls, she noted, and you can swim in the waterfalls—“really gets the adrenaline going.”

For those who want to take in all of Grenada’s natural surroundings, recommend the Kimpton Kawana Bay Grenada Resort, set to open in 2019. The 146-guestroom property is set on a hillside between a tropical rainforest and Grand Anse Beach, and features 101 luxury studios, 45 suites, and 12 penthouse apartments. On property, guests can enjoy an infinity pool, a restaurant, fitness center, a spa, and watersports.

For those looking to book this year, Silver Sands Hotel will open its doors on Grand Anse Beach in December. It will feature 56 guestrooms, 12 suites and nine luxury villas.

Tell your New York City area clients that JetBlue has added a Monday flight, running through the end of the year, to its weekly schedule from New York’s JFK, which also offers departures on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, a weekly Mint service will operate on Saturdays. American Airlines has also added a new departure for its daily scheduled flight from Miami (MIA) to Grenada starting April 4.
