The Saint Lucia Tourist Board (SLTB) has announced the two recipients of the Saint Lucia Piton Awards, which recognize the top booking travel agents and agencies as part of the Preferred Agent Saint Lucia Specialist education and training program.
The recipients are Viki Couch, a travel advisor at Georgia-based agency The Travel Couch; and Nancy Miklian, a travel consultant at the Toronto-based agency Travel Sensations Downtown, who each won cash prizes totaling $500. These two travel agents represent an elite category of Saint Lucia travel partners who produce the highest number of bookings across the U.S. and Canada.
Top booking agents who are members of PASS receive $500 for themselves and their agency. In addition, the top 10 agents per region who record the highest bookings at the end of the annual program wins a weekend for two to Saint Lucia to attend the Grand Piton Awards Ceremony, held in March. To be eligible, agents must complete the Saint Lucia Specialist Course, attend a Saint Lucia presentation at least once per year, visit the island (on an SLTP-coordinated FAM tour or individual trip) and regularly update bookings online.
