Choosing the right hotel for a family vacation is one of the most important decisions a travel advisor can make for their clients, especially if you need something that will satisfy the needs of different age groups or require a larger space that can accommodate more than four people.

So with summer on its way, Delta Vacations have created a list of four- and five-star, family-friendly hotels and resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico that cater to larger family groups.

Azul Beach Resort on Jamaica’s famous Seven Mile Beach is highlighted on Delta Vacations’ list of family-friendly Caribbean resorts. It offers a 2-bedroom oceanfront suite with two spacious bedrooms and a living room with sitting area. The all-inclusive Barcelo Bavaro Palace in Punta Cana is also listed, featuring 1.2 miles of private beach and a coral reef. Its Family Junior Suite Premium level accommodates six people and includes two double beds and one sofa bed. Another option for larger families is the Dreams Dominicus La Romana Resort and Spa in the Dominican Republic, which offers the Preferred Club Two-bedroom Family Suite with a spacious living area with pull-out couch and a private furnished balcony or terrace that fits seven people comfortably.

Delta Vacations’ list of family-friendly resorts in Mexico includes Chileno Bay Resort and Residences, which overlooks one of the best snorkeling beaches in Los Cabos. Here, the 4-bedroom oceanfront villa sleeps up to eight people and features four-and-a-half bathrooms. The villa’s large living area extends to the outdoor terrace and offers stunning views. Another option is the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos, which offers a 2,260-sq.-ft Rock Star oceanfront suite with two bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and a second with two queens. Meanwhile, the Puerto Vallarta Garza Blanca penthouse is an oceanfront suite with three bedrooms containing king-size beds and the option of an additional sofa bed that sleeps two children. The penthouse sleeps six and has a full kitchen and a wraparound terrace with an oversized hammock.
