Discover Puerto Rico has launched a new campaign—”Have We Met Yet?”—that starts today including a new logo and a recently revamped website.

The new campaign, which focuses on the island’s cultural and natural offerings, will roll out across all digital channels including digital banners and social media, as well as pre-roll with follow-up TV spots coming throughout the next few weeks in key markets. The campaign’s goal is to re-introduce the island to the world while repositioning the island as the U.S.’ “neighbor to the south” while showcasing its hospitable nature and friendly people. The new campaign will feature the island’s festive flair, ocean views, art collections, and local food.

“Since our inception last July, we hit the ground running to accelerate the tourism economy,” said Brad Dean, CEO of Discover Puerto Rico in press materials. “This brand campaign follows a strong publicity effort that set up Puerto Rico as the top place to visit in 2019 and a recently revamped website, DiscoverPuertoRico.com. The creative highlights our two strongest assets—our culture and our people—and will help us strengthen traveler’s familiarity with what makes our Island one-of-a-kind.”

This new campaign is the next phase of Discover Puerto Rico’s brand repositioning process, which enables the island to capitalize on its rich tourism product offerings and emerge as a leading Caribbean destination.

“The campaign invites travelers to visit Puerto Rico and meet us, the neighbor that you can’t live without,” says  Leah Chandler, CMO of Discover Puerto Rico in press materials. “Puerto Rico was named the #1 Place to Visit in 2019 by the New York Times and has topped over 20 other notable lists of places to visit this year,” she added. “We want to send a message to all travelers that this is THE year to visit Puerto Rico. The entire island is eager to welcome them.”
