Belmond is debuting the first ever luxury sleeper train in Ireland, the Belmond Grand Hibernian, this August. The 40-passenger train features contemporary carriages inspired by Dublin’s classic Georgian architecture, private en-suite cabins and fine dining showcasing local delicacies. Guests choose from a selection of 2-, 4- and 6-night journeys, all departing from Dublin and highlighting the open countryside, dramatic coasts, and lively cities of both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. From the Observation Car, guests can sip on fine Irish whiskey or a pint of local stout as they watch the surrounding scenery from the train’s large windows. Rates start at $3,540 pp for a 2-night journey, and include accommodations, meals and land excursions, such as a visit to the Titanic Belfast, where the RMS Titanic was built, and a trip to the 13th century Blarney Castle and Gardens in Cork. Belmond’s rail collection also includes the Eastern & Oriental Express and the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. For more information, call (800) 524-2420 or visit belmond.com.
