Air France is rolling out a brand-new immersive entertainment system in partnership with the startup company SkyLights. Beginning on Aug. 1, 2017, Air France began testing an immersive entertainment system which allows passengers to enjoy 3D and 2D films using a virtual reality headset.
The system has been tested on board Paris-Charles de Gaulle – St. Martin and St. Martin – Paris-Charles de Gaulle flights. Customers traveling in Business Class on board the A340 operating this route can try this new form of inflight entertainment. Four headsets are offered on board with a selection of nearly 40 films and series. Following the test period, this new entertainment system could be rolled out on other flights in the months ahead.
