AmaWaterways has welcomed its 19th ship, AmaKristina, to the river cruise line’s expanding European fleet. Sister ship to the AmaViola and AmaStella, AmaKristina departed from Amsterdam on April 1 and concluded her maiden voyage in Basel on April 8. An official christening ceremony will take place on May 10 in Lahnstein, Germany led by the vessel’s godmother, namesake and AmaWaterways’ co-owner and executive v.p., Kristin Karst.

The 158-passenger vessel features connecting cabins and triple occupancy staterooms ideal for groups and multigenerational families. There’ll also be a greater number of AmaWaterways’ signature Twin-Balcony (French and outside balconies) staterooms offering panoramic views. Onboard amenities include three dining venues including the complimentary Chef’s Table, an intimate, reservatons-only dining experience with a multi-course tasting menu paired with hand-selected regional wines; a sundeck with a running track; a heated pool and swim-up bar; an expanded fitness center; and a hair salon and spa. Guests also receive complimentary WiFi throughout the ship, an in-room Entertainment-On-Demand system, and complimentary beer and fine wine with lunch and dinner.

AmaKristina will host a variety of Rhine River sailings, starting at $1,799 pp, between Amsterdam and Basel in 2017, including a wine-themed cruise departing Nov. 11, and Christmas Market cruises starting Nov. 25. The 7-night Enchanting Rhine itinerary offers guests a choice of 21-guided tours included with escorted hiking and biking options for the active traveler, or guests can go on a self-guided tour using the ship’s complimentary bicycles. Pre- or post-city stays in Lucerne and Zurich are also available. For more information, call (800) 626-0126 or visit amawaterways.com.
