Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo offers a unique Underwater Weddings package.

We’ve got our eyes on the 126-room Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo in Monaco’s Golden Square for its upscale accommodations, clever packages and unique programming. Decorated in a Mediterranean style, each room at the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo features regal touches such as interior furniture shaped in a scroll formation with refined fabrics and bathrooms finished with white Carrara marble and massage jet showers. For picturesque views of Monte-Carlo, book one of 62 suites with separate sitting rooms and a balcony off the bedroom.

Thanks to its four restaurants helmed by chef Joel Robuchon, including the two Michelin-starred main restaurant, Joel Robuchon, and Yoshi, chef Robuchon’s first Japanese venue, Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo has made a name for itself as a gastronomic destination. It’s also a wedding destination that offers a one-of-a-kind Underwater Weddings package where free diving champion Pierre Frolla takes couples 40 ft. below sea level to tie the knot. The ceremony takes place at Larvotto Beach complete with an altar and wedding diving gear (black wetsuit with top hat, bow tie, tailcoat and white neoprene wetsuit with voile skirt, pink scuba tank and vail). Afterwards, guests have cocktails and lunch on the beach. The subaquatic ceremony is filmed and the couple receives their wedding video within a few hours after the event. Call for rates.

Additional packages include the Drive Monaco’s Grand Prix Track, starting at $3,362, where guests get behind the wheel of a F1 racecar and drive the Circuit du Luc track in Provence; and The Golden Eye Just For You experience, starting at $4,010, featuring a private tour of the Monte-Carlo Casino, the filming location for many Bond movies, a helicopter ride, lunch at Yoshi and a driving tour of the French Riviera. In the evening, guests receive an in-room duo massage, vodka martini aperitif at the lobby bar and an exclusive dinner on the terrace of the 1,614-sq.-ft. Suite Carre d’Or. Cigars and casino chips are provided at the end of the meal for a night of gambling before guests check back into their rose petal-adorned Deluxe Junior suite to cap off the day with a glass of champagne. Both packages include an overnight stay in a Junior suite. Regular room rates start at $360 per night depending on the season. For more information, visit metropole.com.
