Dromoland Castle in Ireland gives kids the opportunity to rule by combining luxury with family-friendly activities.

Kids staying at Dromoland Castle can take part in many Irish recreational activities, which are supervised by one of Dromoland’s kid-friendly experts. Older children can participate in guided tours that provide an introduction to the history of the centuries-old estate, while little ones can play hide-and-seek in the forests and gardens, or feed the ducks. There is also a High Tea for kids, board games and pedal go-karts available. Kids also receive junior-sized bathrobes, and a selection of children’s TV channels and movies are available upon request.

Dromoland also offers children’s menus at the five-star restaurants, Earl of Thomond and The Fig Treewill and in-room dining offers snacks fitting for a family movie night. Kids also receive special treats at check-in and turn-down like lollipops, cookies, warm milk or teddy bears. The 99-guestroom castle also features the Dromoland Castle Golf Course and Country Club, and a spa.

Families visiting Dromoland Castle have additional amusements nearby such as a wildlife park, beaches, an indoor activity center for kids, a go-cart circuit, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, where families can partake in a 4-course medieval banquet complete with Irish entertainers.

Family-friendly packages are available, including some that offer children under 12 stay free. Holiday packages offer Halloween pumpkin carving with the chef, Easter egg hunting, and children’s activities on New Year’s Eve.
