While many people celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, by traveling to their local pubs and breweries, others—your clients—are in search of a more genuine affair. Luckily, all you have to do is get them to Ireland and let the locals take care of the rest…and we’ve got the packages you need to make that happen.

An Authentic St. Patty’s Day Experience Offering 1- and 2-night packages, the Merrion Hotel in Dublin is hosting guests over St. Patrick’s Day weekend and encouraging them to “go green” with Irish fare, specialty cocktails and spending time at the Cellar Bar to socialize with the locals during Ireland’s Six Nations rugby tournament.

Making it all possible are two packages: the Semi-Shamrock, featuring overnight accommodations in a Standard Garden room, full Irish breakfast for two and Black Velvet welcome cocktails; and the Full Shamrock, including one extra night of accommodations, two grandstand tickets for the St. Patrick’s Day festival, and a picnic box to enjoy during the parade.

Rates for the Semi-Shamrock package start at $166 pp while the Full Shamrock starts at $420 pp. Both packages are available for stays from March 16-20. For more information, visit

In Limerick, on the other hand, The Castle at Adare Manor is offering a St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Escape to take the party to another level, providing 3-night accommodations and access to two separate events.

The package includes three nights of luxury accommodations at Adare Manor’s castle— one of western Ireland’s most exclusive five-star Gothic castle hotels—a full Irish breakfast each morning, dinner for two in the castle’s original dining room, two nights of live traditional Irish music experience on property at the Tackroom Bar, private transfers to and from Limerick City for either the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17 or the International Band Parade on March 18, and fresh shamrocks to pin on your jacket on St. Patrick’s Day.

Rates for the St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Escape start at $1,080 per couple, with up to two children sharing hotel accommodations for free as well. For more information, visit

Travel on Their Own Terms But who says St. Patrick’s Day needs to be observed on March 17? Those clients who won’t be able to make it to Ireland for its most famous holiday can throw convention aside and use these package deals to drink their beer and don their greens whenever their schedules allow.

Offering 7- and 9-day itineraries, Friendly Planet Travel takes guests on tours through Ireland’s most famous cities and landmarks, including Blarney Castle, Ireland’s Midlands, the Ring of Kerry, and Kilkenny.

The 7-day Taste of Ireland tour starts at $1,744 pp dbl and includes roundtrip airfare from Newark, all ground transportation and transfers, accommodations in superior and deluxe hotels, daily Irish breakfast, two dinners, inclusive tours and entrance fees. Available departure dates for this tour are April 23, May 7 and Oct. 8.

Additionally, a 9-day Discover Ireland tour is offered with an itinerary similar to that mentioned above, plus a visit to the old stone city of Galway and a more comprehensive tour of Dublin. Rates start at $2,044 pp dbl. For more information, visit

Meanwhile with Sceptre Tours, families of four can travel to Ireland for about $167 pp per day when they take advantage of the Adare Villa Estate in Summer package. Inclusive of the package are 6-night accommodations in a 3-bed/3-bath villa, roundtrip airfare to Dublin or Shannon, and car rental.

With their own car at their disposal, your clients will be able to explore the city sights of Dublin—such as Dublin Castle and Trinity College—or the natural landscapes of Shannon, like the limestone formations at the Burren and the beauty of Aillwee Cave. Of course, a trip to Ireland wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the local pub along the way.

Rates for the Adare Villa Estate in Summer package start at $899 pp and vary based on departure city, date of travel and group size. Sceptre Tours offers agents a 10 percent commission on land and 5 percent commission on air. For more information, visit
