Set to debut this month on 86 acres of natural parks and gardens in the region of Cap Corsica, the five-star Le Domaine Misincu hotel, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is described as the only five-star rated, environmentally friendly and eco-certified luxury boutique hotel to open in the area. Located on what is said to be the last remaining “wild” part of the island, this seashore hideaway features a Zen-like design and even has a river running through it. The hotel pays homage to Corsican heritage and its natural surroundings through its F&B outlets, amenities and 29 guestrooms, which feature Corsican fabrics, materials and wood elements. The accommodations range from rooms and suites to pool and beach villas.

Amenities include a garden spa with indoor/outdoor therapies and pools; a fine dining bistro and relaxed beach restaurant, both using locally sourced Corsican ingredients; and outdoor yoga and Pilates class, plus a fleet of Tesla cars available for guests to use. The property also features a tiny chapel in the gardens that plays host to weddings and a kids club. Guests can get back in tune with nature by hiking, sailing, diving and waterskiing on the Domaine Misincu surroundings or get a culture fix by exploring nearby Bastia. Rates start at $251 per night.
