W Verbier

Last month, W Hotels debuted its first alpine and ski resort, W Verbier, in Verbier, Switzerland.

“Bringing the W brand to Verbier, one of the world’s hottest ski resorts, marks a significant milestone in the global expansion of W Hotels into the world’s most exciting destinations,” says Paul James, global brand leader, W Hotels Worldwide, St. Regis and The Luxury Collection. “At W Verbier, alpine enthusiasts and global jetsetters will experience the W brand’s unique lifestyle programming and innovative design set against a jaw-dropping mountain backdrop.”

Set next to the main Medran gondola at the foot of the ski slopes, W Verbier offers 123 guestrooms, including an Extreme WOW suite, the brand’s take on a presidential suite; tapas restaurant Eat-Hola; Arola restaurant with Swiss classics; destination bar Carve; W Cafe overlooking the gondola; and the AWAY Spa with nine treatment rooms, including two couples’ rooms.

Travelers can relax with apres-ski cocktails in the W Living Room or head to the outdoor Off-Piste, on the Place Blanche, for refreshments and DJs spinning in the decks. In addition, the spa offers a bevy of amenities from a sauna, hammam and jacuzzi to the indoor-outdoor WET pool deck with bar.

Rates for a Cozy room start at $852 per night dbl (including breakfast). For more information, visit whotels.com/verbier.
