The InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort opened last month giving families another kid-friendly option for accommodations in Vietnam, along with special opening rates to further welcome guests to the new property.
Located on the largest island in South Vietnam, Phu Quoc is a tropical island destination listed by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve and is home to world famous pearl farms, thriving marine life and rich coral reefs, giving families plenty of opportunities to explore the natural wonders surrounding the InterContinental. When families are not off property, the resort offers a wide range of activities and facilities fit for all ages to enjoy. The InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort features four pools, including an infinity lap pool and a family pool with waterslides and inflatable toys; and the Planet Trekkers Kids’ Club, which leads children ages four to 12 in a variety of activities including some that will introduce them to Vietnamese culture. Kids can also participate in a cooking class led by the resort’s chefs, while the parents can indulge in treatments at the HARNN Heritage Spa or head to the INK 360 Sky Bar to sip on a cocktail while taking in the 360 degree views of Phu Quoc and the surrounding waters. In addition, watersports and other recreational activities are offered daily for guests of all ages.
Accommodations were also created with families in mind, with a total of 459 options including 115 one-, two- and three-bedroom suites with kitchens. For those looking for more space and privacy, luxury villas are also available. Resort Family Suite Reservations include a personal welcome by a Planet Trekkers Host for children under 12 while parents receive a private resort and room orientation on check in. Additionally, children will receive a Children’s Welcome Kit with an activities schedule; a resort map highlighting the pools, club and games locations; a coloring book; and their very own name badge sticker. All Family Suites and Club InterContinental reservations include special bathroom amenities for children such as baby shampoo, powder and oil, plus a rubber ducky for children three years of age and under or a Teddy with matching toothbrush for children between four and seven-years-old. Allowing for 48 hours advance notice, parents can also choose between three room decoration themes for their children’s accommodations, including Under the Sea, Jungle Adventure or Beach Camping.
Valid now through Oct. 31, 2018, the resort is offering guests daily breakfast for two people; airport transfers; approximately $108 resort credits; free dining for children under 12 when accompanied by a paying a adult; and 2,000 additional IHG Rewards Club Points.
