Accor Hotels Offers Gift Cards up to $150
Accor Hotels is providing agents monetary incentives to build up their education through its Learn with Us training program.
Learn with Us is composed of a selection of education modules, each with 10 questions at the end to gauge comprehension. Modules help agents learn about Accor Hotels and its brands, which include Sofitel, Novotel, MGallery, Pullman, Mercure and ibis. By completing Learn with Us modules, agents also have the opportunity to access Accor’s Special Travel Agent Rates (STAR) program, or become an Accor Ambassador and be listed in the Accor Travel Agencies VIP list.
Through October, agents who complete the core Accor learning module and answer eight out of 10 comprehension questions correctly will be eligible to win a $50 gift card. Agents who complete one additional module, with the same eight out of 10 questions answered correctly, will be eligible to participate in a grand prize drawing for a $150 gift card.

Rail Europe Offers $10 Gift Cards
Rail Europe isn’t just for Europe, you know. New Agent-Centered Websites
Through Travel Experts’ newly redesigned upgrade to its website, clients can now search out specific travel agent expertise through a search function based on name, location, travel specialty or destination. The change is a step away from the common practice of focusing on travel deals instead of on the knowledge that travel professionals can provide their clients.
After searching for agents, potential clients reach a customized listing of Travel Experts’ independent contractor agents who can cater to their query. From there, site visitors can access each agent’s individual webpage, which can be customized to provide a description of the agent or agency, their location, promote their specialties and travel philosophies, as well as show off photos and discuss recent trips. A map can be enabled to display destinations that travel agents have visited, giving potential customers a visual representation of the agent’s knowledge base.
“The new site really focuses on the attributes and expertise of the agents that make up Travel Experts,” says Laura Madrid of Resort to Laura Madrid, another of Travel Experts’ agencies. “It does not spend time promising anything more than the fact that many of the best agents in the industry are affiliated with Travel Experts.”

A similar new option can be found on Travel Leaders’ website, through the new Agent Profiler tab. The brand has added its Agent Profiler to allow potential clients to select expert counsel based on the agent’s biography, experience, destination knowledge, specializations, certifications and awards.

Travel Impressions Names Its Ambassadors
You might remember our previously published feature on Travel Impressions’ Ambassadors Program, which brought to light the company’s recent search for 96 travel agents to act as ambassadors for the company’s eight hotel and destination partners (All-Inclusive Hard Rock Hotels; AMResorts; Atlantis; Paradise Island; Cancun, Mexico; Excellence Group Luxury Hotels & Resorts; Palace Resorts and Le Blanc Spa Resort; Sandals & Beaches Resorts and The Island of Aruba).
The company has since sifted through more than 800 applications and has found its travel agent ambassadors in locations throughout the country. These 96 agents were selected based on their booking history and overall knowledge of the hotel or destination, as well as their communication skills and willingness to share information via social media.
Due to the overwhelming response from agents to participate in the Ambassadors Program, a newly created Travel Impressions All Stars Program has been created for each agent who applied but was not selected for this year’s ambassadorship. To show their appreciation, Travel Impressions is providing those applicants with a $50 Future Travel Credit booklet for their customers who book the hotel or destination through them. In addition, whenever the All Star agent travels to the supplier for which they applied for ambassadorship, Travel Impressions will request that they receive All Star treatment and VIP amenities.
