Tara Tours is offering an El Salvador Travel Experience April 28-May 05, 2016 for travel agents and their spouse or companion. The El Salvador FAM visits San Salvador, Suchitoto, Ataco, the Tazumal archaelogical site and the ruins of Joya de Ceren. In San Salvador, guests visit the lively plaza de El Salvador del mundo and plaza Masferrer, then head over to the historic center of San Salvador to view the Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace. Next, guests tour the square of the historic center, the El Rosario church and the French Renaissance style National Theater, which was declared a National monument in 1979. For a breath of fresh air, guests can take stroll along natural trails at the San Salvador Volcano. While at the Joya de Ceren UNESCO World Heritage Site, guests can learn what daily life was like for the town’s pre-Columbian inhabitants. For a more hands-on approach to learning, guests can participate in an indigo dye class in Suchitoto and go on a tasting tour at the famous El Carmen Estate coffee plantation in Ataco.
