The Lodge at Pico Bonito in Honduras features a new outdoor spa offering indigenous inspired spa treatments.

Honduras’ Lodge at Pico Bonito, a Small Luxury Hotels of the World member, is offering new organic spa treatments inspired by the pre-Hispanic indigenous culture and traditions at the eco-lodge’s recently opened Spa at Pico Bonito. The new 3,675-sq.-ft. outdoor spa features one cabin for individual massages, one cabin for couples massages, one cabin with a Vichy shower, one temazcal (a Maya-style sauna), and a plunge pool. In addition to holistic treatments, such as aromatherapy; therapeutic massages, such as the Comprehensive Therapeutic Chiromassage; and nature-inspired facials, such as the Organic Fruit Facial, guests can experience more traditional steam house rituals, like the Revitalizing Cotinga, which features aromatic steam therapy in the spa’s temazcal and a pineapple exfoliation and therapeutic anti-inflammatory chamomile mud wrap in the Vichy shower. Treatments range from $25 to $95. Room rates in a Standard Cabin start at $225 per night in the low season; $330 per night in the high season. Room rates in a Superior Cabin start at $275 per night in the low season; $375 per night in the high season. For more information, call (888) 428-0221 or visit picobonito.com.
