SATA Opens Membership to Retail Agents

The South & Central American Travel Association (SATA) has a  primary mission of promoting leisure travel to the dynamic destinations south of our border to U.S. retail agents through seminars, special trade events, educational materials, and destination and product updates. Present SATA membership includes U.S.-based tour operators, hoteliers, airlines, expedition cruise companies and tourist boards.

SATA is now issuing an invitation for retail agents to become Associate Members, whose benefits include:

-Gain exclusive access to SATA-member educational sites: and

-Receive timely communications on Latin American destination news, as well as product updates from SATA members.

-Receive advance notification for destination FAM trips planned by SATA members, as well as special offers coming on market from SATA members.

-Receive invitations to SATA trade events and educational seminars, held annually in different U.S. cities.

-Receive a “welcome to SATA” $100 award certificate that can be applied as a bonus commission to the regular commission for the first booking with a SATA tour operator member.

Tour operator members honoring the $100 Award Certificate include Alluring Americas, Avanti Destinations, Cosmopolitan Adventure Tours, Festival Tours, GT Tours, Latour, Tara Tours and 2000 Latin Tours.

The fee is $30 for retail agents joining SATA as Associate Members.
