While North America is still in summer mode, South America is now offering travelers winter discounts at luxury properties in Chile.
At The Aubrey in Santiago, travelers can save 20 percent off of all direct bookings now through Sept. 30. The deal at the 15-room hotel, located at the foot of the Metropolitan Park in Bellavista, also includes breakfast, a complimentary pisco sour cocktail at the Piano Lounge & Bar, and afternoon tea in the Dining Room. Rates start at $240 per night for Constitucion rooms. Agents can also save 20 percent on rooms, in addition to commission.
The Hotel Palacio Astoreca is offering 20 percent off a 1-night stay and 35 percent off the price of a second night for 2-night stays now through Aug. 31. The 23-room hotel, set in a restored 1920s mansion in Valparaiso, opened last September and was featured on Conde Nast Traveler’s Hot List 2013. With the deal, travelers will also receive breakfast, a welcome drink and unlimited spa access, which features a sauna and heated pool. Rates start at $230 for a standard room and $490 for a luxury suite with private terrace.
Meanwhile, guests booking at the Alto Atacama Desert Lodge & Spa from now through Sept. 14 can save 15 percent on 3-night stays or longer. Also, a child (up to 17 years old ) can stay free with one paying adult, and a single traveler pays a dbl rate. The hotel, located near Incan ruins, features Puri Spa with six pools, as well as Restaurant Caur, which offers gourmet, regional cuisine. Rates start at $551 pp dbl, or $383 per child, for a Quitor guestroom.
Honeymooners can also score with the Honeymoon package at the lodge, which includes a free night when guests book a 4-night stay. The package includes welcome sparkling wine and flowers; a $120 credit for in-room spa treatments; and a private Andean astronomic tour at the lodge’s observatory. Rates are $2,080 pp through Aug. 31 and $2,300 from Sept. 1 through March, 31, 2014 (excluding Sept. 18-19, Christmas and New Year’s).
