Mexico welcomes new (or renovated) resorts including two family-friendly properties and one more luxurious property, bringing big names such as Club Med, Excellence, and Hilton  to the area.

Club Med is completing renovations to Club Med Cancun Yucatan with 60 beachfront family rooms, a Petit Club Med for children 2-3 years old, two oceanfront restaurants, and a new bar and entertainment area, Maya Lounge. Opening in the winter of 2015, Finest Playa Mujeres will join Excellence Group’s list of resorts, the first of Finest Resorts properties opening. Finest Resorts, Excellence Group’s third brand, joins brands such as Excellence Resorts and Beloved Hotels. Finest Playa Mujeres caters to guests of all ages, including couples and mid-size groups. The modern property will feature 450 suites, the exclusive Excellence Club for adults over 18, Finest Club for guests of all ages, nine all-inclusive dining options, 10 pools, a fitness center, a spa and hydrotherapy circuit facilities.

Excellence Punta Cana recently completed a renovation of all guestrooms, added four honeymoon suites with a rooftop with a private deck and plunge pool, bringing the total of honeymoon suites to 10. Hilton Worldwide opened Hilton Mexico City Santa Fe, a 260-room property part of Samara—one of five mixed-use complexes in Mexico. The property, features a rooftop pool, fitness center, and dining options, including Madera Restaurant or Cielo, the property’s rooftop bar. Starting introductory rates are $99 per night.
