Themed cruises are in high demand and Un-cruise Adventures offers a craft beer themed cruise.
Un-Cruise Adventures offers four craft beer-themed cruises.

Beer aficionados will indulge in beer tastings and nightly happy hours on Un-Cruise Adventures’ four new craft beer-themed cruises setting sail from Washington’s Puget Sound and Salish Sea.

On the Oct. 4, 2014 sailing aboard the 60-passenger Wilderness Adventurer, guests will learn about the craft beer business from hosts Kendall Jones and Kim Sharpe Jones, experts on the Seattle craft beer scene and media partners for the Washington Beer Commission; and owner and brewer of Stoup Brewing in Seattle, Robyn Schumacher, will be on board the ship for the April 25, 2015 expedition (hosts for the Oct. 3, 2015 and April 30, 2016 sailings will be announced at a later time).

The sailings will feature nightly happy hour tastings of select craft beers from nearby breweries—most unavailable outside the state—presentations, and beer pairings during dinner, as well as a brewery tour and tasting at both Port Townsend Brewing in Port Townsend and Island Hoppin’ Brewery on Orcas Island. The last night features a bonfire on Sucia Island for a session on Beach Beers and the advantages of craft beer in aluminum cans. Other highlights include hiking in Olympic National Park, and Mt. Constitution and Washington state parks; water expeditions by kayaks, skiffs and paddleboards to explore glacial fjords and the San Juan archipelago; a home-grown oyster and clam tasting in Quilcene Bay hosted by a local family; and free time on Friday Harbor and Port Townsend.

Rates start at $1,895 pp dbl, and include all meals, beer tastings, transfers, adventure activities, and access to hot tub, sauna, and yoga on deck. Charters and group incentives are also available.
