For clients heading to Orlando and looking for an alternative to the Disney area, the new The Alfond Inn will open in Winter Park this August.
The boutique hotel, owned by the private liberal arts school Rollins College, will be located about 15 minutes from downtown Orlando and will feature 112 rooms ranging from Classic King to a Presidential Suite. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, iPod docks and high-speed Internet. Guests can also opt for pet-friendly rooms with water bowls, a dog gift basket and signature treats at turndown.
The property will also include a restaurant and lounge, Hamilton’s Kitchen, with traditional Southern cuisine and local ingredients; a fitness center; and a pool. In addition, guests can choose from a variety of venues for weddings and events, such as a 5,000-sq.-ft. ballroom; a 10,000-sq.-ft.-garden; and a glass-domed Conservatory.
