The recently renovated Carnival Sunshine will embark on a winter route that sails from New Orleans to the Caribbean.

The 3,006-passenger ship will operate three different 7-day cruises from New Orleans to the Caribbean now through April. Passengers can choose from a route heading to Belize, Mahogany Bay (Isla Roatan), and Cozumel; a trip to the Bahamas and Florida visiting Key West, Freeport and Nassau; and western Caribbean itineraries heading to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

After a $155 million makeover, the ship now features 182 new staterooms and the Fun Ship 2.0 enhancements, such as Guy’s Burger Joint, Alchemy Bar, RedFrog Rum Bar and more.

“The transformation of Carnival Sunshine is unlike anything that’s ever been done before and the results are simply extraordinary, with a variety of truly fabulous features and unique innovations for our guests to enjoy,” says Gerry Cahill, president and CEO for Carnival Cruise Lines. “We are delighted that Carnival Sunshine will make its inaugural U.S. sailing from the port of New Orleans, one of our most popular homeports and a valued business partner for the past 20 years.”

Fares start at $399 pp. For more information, visit carnival.com.
