LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort, a Noble House Resort located on the idyllic Naples beachfront, is celebrating the 2016 loggerhead sea turtle nesting season with the launch of the Sea Turtle Suite package available through October 2016. During the warmer months in southwest Florida, loggerhead sea turtles return to the sandy beaches of Naples to lay their nests. Guests can join in on LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort’s efforts to help save the endangered species by booking the 2-night Sea Turtle Suite package, which features luxurious accommodations, dining at the resort’s BALEEN restaurant, the opportunity to adopt a sea turtle, and a visit to the Conservancy Nature Center. LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort is also doing its part by donating a portion of every Sea Turtle Suite package booked to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a Sea Turtle Suite welcome kit, complete with a beach bag and a large stuffed sea turtle toy. After a day of relaxing at the resort, which features a 4,500-sq.-ft. spa, a fitness center and a Tiki Bar, guests dine at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort’s signature beachfront restaurant BALEEN. Additionally, guests receive “turtle tweets” alerting them about on-property sea turtle sightings and upcoming releases, and will also have the opportunity to participate in the Sea Turtle Adoption Program. At the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, guests will learn about the importance of the center’s resources and the Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s role in protecting the region in addition to touching dozens of creatures in the Touch Tank, viewing a loggerhead sea turtle as it swims freely in a 5,000-gallon reef tank, and participating in a guided trail walk.
