In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Disneyland Resort is celebrating with a Diamond Celebration that includes new entertainment and a sweepstakes opportunity to win grand experiences at the park.

New Entertainment
The new electrical parade, Paint the Night, led by Tinker Bell, is followed by Mickey Mouse as he “paints the night” with 1.5 million LED lights glowing, special effects, music, and performances. Anna and Elsa from “Frozen,” Lightning McQueen from “Cars,” and Cinderella, Rapunzel, the Little Mermaid, and many more also join in the parade procession.

The new fireworks show—Disneyland Forever—presented by Honda, is an immersive experience made possible with the installation of projection mapping technology. The new system allows guests to feel like they’ve been transported from Main Street, U.S.A. to Simba’s Pride Lands to dancing with King Louie from “The Jungle Book,” or traveling underwater with the Little Mermaid. The fireworks show extends from the sky above to the buildings of Main Street, U.S.A., the facade of It’s a Small World, and the Matterhorn and mist screens along the Rivers of America with digital projections offering guests new experiences at each location. Nemo from “Finding Nemo” will also make an appearance for the first time in Disneyland’s fireworks history.

Also new at Disneyland is the World of Color-Celebrate! showcase, which tells the story of Walt and The Happiest Place on Earth with animated imagery, live-action film, fountains, lasers, and special effects; Neil Patrick Harris and Mickey Mouse narrate the story on a water canvas.

Also included as prizes are a clear, crystal Cinderella slipper with a diamond and topaz pendant, and private experiences in the park such as a party in Fantasyland or a romantic cruise aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat (prizes vary each week). Daily prizes will also be awarded, including individualized tours of the park with dining, preferred access to selected attractions, and VIP viewing at some of the new nighttime spectaculars. Daily prize winners must be present on the Disneyland Resort premises at the time of entry and at the time of prize redemption (theme park admission is not necessary to enter).
