Finally, California’s northern city of Napa is home to Silverado Resort and Spa, which in addition to welcoming adults to its fabulous courses, is now also welcoming children ages 3 to 15 for the 2012 Silverado Junior Golf Academy with classes in three levels:

Little Novice Academy—intended as an introductory course for ages 3 to 5. Classes are Sundays from 4:30 p.m.-5:15 p.m. through Oct. 15, and rates are $85 per month or $25 per class for hotel guests.

Prep Academy—junior golfers ages 6 to 9 will learn through the Titelist Performance Institute’s teaching model. Classes are Sundays from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. through Oct. 31, and rates are $100 per month or $25 per class for hotel guests.

Summer Sessions for Junior Varsity Youth—covering full swing mechanics, putting, pitching, chipping, bunkers and on-course play for ages 9-15. Classes are Tuesdays-Thursdays from July 3-Aug. 2, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and rates are $225 per session, one session per week, including academy hat, towel, car decal, divit tool, tees, ball markers, healthy snacks, practice balls, instruction, and a “burger dog” from the Silverado Snack Shack on the last day of academy.
